This Norton and Bill edition, which includes the Apocrypha, is bound together with a 1625 edition of Sternhold and Hopkins' popular metrical psalter. Set in Gothic type in double columns and illustrated with elaborate woodcut borders on both the general and the New Testament title pages, and woodcut initials, head- and tailpieces.
Leaf Lll4 incorrectly signed "Mmm4," as always (Darlow & Moule 303). Psalter has signatures E and F reversed; without
leaves G1, G4-8. Herbert 395. STC 2270, 2590. Early owner signatures. Scattered faint dampstaining and foxing, marginal wormholing to title page and signatures Kk and Ll. Title page mounted on silk, first two leaves of Genesis with restored corner tear with a bit of text affected. A handsome bible.
